| 帰国子女コースで使用する教材は、早いもので1学期(6ヶ月)、
学習量が多いものは2学期(12ヶ月)使用します。下記記載の学習内容は、一部以前使用した教材が含まれます。本ページは、随時更新していますが、下記教材が入学案内と異なる場合は、以前に学習した内容が記載されています。以前の学習内容が記載されている場合でも、学習レベルは把握して頂けると思いますので、入学の際の参考としてください。 |

| Overseas for Kindergarten 1レベル 4歳～小学校1年生 |
| 海外の幼稚園で使用される、5～7歳向けの英語の教科書を使用します。帽子を被ってテニスラケットを持った男の子のイラストを見ながら、1. What design was on the boy's hat? 2. What did the boy have in his hand? 3. What was the word on the boy's jumper? 等の質問に答え、身の回りの出来事を正確に発話する練習をします。補助教材は、5～6歳向けのSpellingの教科書です。フォニックスを通して文字教育を行います。例えばumbrella、clock、carrot、bucket、camera、catの絵を見ながら"C"で始まる単語を探します。 |

| Overseas for Kindergarten 2レベル 5歳～小学校2年生 |
| メインの教材は、海外の8～10歳向けの英語の教科書です。但し、絵を見て質問に答える練習が多いので幼児の学習者にも対応できます。例えば、男の人が台所でお皿を洗っているイラストを見ながらWhat was the man holding and washing? How many cups were in the draining rack? How many saucepans were on the bench? と講師の質問に答え、状況を把握し正確に伝える練習をします。補助教材は、5～7歳向けのReading練習用の教材です。女の子が走っているイラストを見ながらShe can run. と単語毎、及び文章毎の読解練習をします。 |

| Overseas for Kindergarten Extraレベル 5歳～小学校2年生 |
| メインの教材は、5～7歳向けの英語の教科書です。In the summer the weather is fine and hot. We can swim in the summer. Hats should be worn to protect us from the sun. Sunscreen helps to protect our skin. Ice-cream is nice to eat on warm summer days. We have holidays in the summer. Barbeques are a lot of fun in the summer. という文章を読解し、What is the weather like in the summer? What must we remember to wear in the summer? 等の質問に最初は口頭で答え、その後で教科書に答えを書き込むことで発話を筆記を同時に学習します。補助教材は、6～7歳向けのSpellingの教科書です。The kitten has a (note, cute, tune) face. I (cube, those, woke) up at six o'clock. My dog loves to chew on a (home, bone, tube). 等の質問に答えます。 |

メインの教材は5～7歳向けの英語の教科書です。'Please do my homework for me!' Lee asked her best friend, Jody. 'No way,' said Jody. 'That's cheating.' 'No, it's not! You're just helping me!' And I'll pay you for it.' 'What will you pay?' Jody asked. 'Ummm... you can have my pencil case,' Lee replied. 'The one you like, with the mermaid on the front.' とTEXTを読解した後で、What did Lee's pencil case have on the front? 等の質問に答え、更に「なぜ宿題は自分でやる必要があるのか。」について話し合います。補助教材は7～8歳向けのSpellingの教材です page/huge/bridge/badge/ledge/bench/branch/catch/match/watchの選択肢の中から、We will sit on the ____________ to eat our lunch. | メインの教材は、7～8歳向けの英語の教科書です。この段階では、Readingを通して語彙を強化するのと共に、英語で教科を学習し、発表することが出来る能力を上達させることが大切です。例えばNEW ZEALANDのセクションは、カタログを読解し、Geographyを学びます。Where is it? New Zealand is located in the South Pacific Ocean. Its closest neighbour is Australia. New Zealand is made up of two main islands; North Island and South Island. The capital of New Zealand is Wellington, which can be found on the southern tip of the North Island. New Zealand's Maori name is Aotearoa, Which means Land of the long white cloud. This name was given by the legendary discoverer of the islands－a man named Kupe. を読解した後で、Explain the main idea of the travel brochure. 等の質問に答え、内容理解力を確認します。補助教材は、7～8歳向けの理科の教材です。The Water Cycleのセクションでは、Heat from the sun evaporates the water from the oceans, lakes and trees. The evaporation of water from tree leaves is called transpiration. When the water evaporates it turns into a gas. The water vapour cools, it condenses into drops of water that fall to the ground as rain. と大気の循環について学びます。 |

メインの教材は、Comprehending FICTION （Ages8-10）です。この教材は、short story を読んで内容を理解する能力を高めます。例えば、Terry the Tugboatのセクションでは、Umbrellas of all colors covered the sandy beach not far from the port of Fremantle in Western Australia. Away in the distance, little Terry the Tugboat was hard at work as he helped a large ship into the safer water of the port. Thick black smoke billowed from Terry’s funnel as he chugged past the lighthouse that stood near the entrance to Fremantle Harbor. The bearded face of the lighthouse keeper could be seen at the lighthouse window, staring out at the passing ships. と tugboatの役割について学習します。読解の後で、Give another word for ‘billowed’. Choose and underline the best answer from the following - cigar, poured, hid, caught, slipped. と質問に答えながら、語彙、及びcontentを学習します。 補助教材のPrimary Writing Cは、筆記を練習する教材です。この教材では、少し長めの文章を読解し、その文章をsummarizeしたり、 rewriteする等のexerciseを通して、筆記の基本を学びます。

| メインの教材は、3rd grade用の英語の教科書です。教科書では、様々な文学作品の一部分が紹介され、速読を行った後に講師の質問に答える形で内容理解力を向上させます。"Birch, the airplane is sold." "You haven't got the money yet." "I don't want to take any chances." "See? Don't take any chances－that's exactly what getting old is. Don't step on the grass. Don't go out of the yard!" "That's enough. I mean it." "Birch was silent for a moment. Then in a different voice, as if she were taking up a new topic, she said, "You never have taken me up."は、Coast to Coastという文学作品の一部分です。おじいさんが歳をとった為に、大切にしていた飛行機を売ってしまいます。おじいさんは、飛行機を引き渡す前に孫娘を最後の飛行に連れて行くという話ですが注意深く読解をしないと、「小説の切抜き」ですので文脈を捉える事ができません。この様に「小説の切抜き」から読解する部分以前のストーリーの展開や予想される結論について話し合います。補助教材は、3rd grade向けの理科、及び社会科の総合教材です。例えば、Scientists know you need sleep, but they don't really know why. Some believe that sleep gives your body time to repair cells that are damaged during the day. And the body can make itself sleepy when it needs to fight infection. の様に睡眠について話し合います。 |

メイン教材は、海外の10～11歳向けの英語の教科書です。この教科書では、Sebastian looked up towards the surface of the water in amazement. It was like no creature he had ever seen before. Forgetting the constant task of finding more food to take back to the dome, he circled it cautiously. He breathed slowly through his gills, the legacy of being born a 'swimmer' whose ancestors had for generations ventured out from the dome to harvest underwater vegetation and the sea creatures on which their community depended. と様々なフィクションを通し、読解力と内容理解力を向上させます。Sebastianは、地球が温暖化の影響を受け、南極の氷が解けた為に大洪水が起こり、海底に避難をした人々の子孫です。人類の実滅に直面し、生き残った人々が描かれています。読解の後で、講師の質問に答えながら、ストーリーに対しディスカッションを行い、会話力を向上させます。
補助教材は、8～10歳向けの道徳の教科書です。All is not well in Fairyland-it's too noisy! For the past few weeks, fairy shop owner Crystal James claims the children's parties she hold are being ruined by the new owner of the clothing shop next door, Rex Latto. 'The music he plays is so loud you can hear it in my shop, complained Miss James. 'The children at the parties can't hear what I'm saying. Fairyland is supposed to be a quiet, gentle place, not somewhere you have to cover your ears.' Miss James said she has asked My Latto to turn down the music, but he refused.'My customers like the music I play,'he says. 'It's good for business.' とCrystal James とMr Lattoの争いについて読解し、1. Describe what has caused the conflict between Miss James and Mr Latto. 2. Write words to describe how you think both people feel about the conflict. 3. How do you feel about what is happening? 4. | メインの教材は、6年生用のLiteratureの教科書です。この教科書では、Short Story、Drama、Folklore、Nonfiction等様々な文章を学びます。Priscilla and the Wimpsでは、Listen, there was a time when you couldn't even go to the rest room around this school without a pass. And I' not talking about those little pink tickets made out by some teacher. I'm talking about a pass that could cost anywhere up to a buck, sold by Monk Klutter. Not that mighty Monk ever touched money, not in public. The gang he ran. which ran the school for him, was his collection agency. They were Klutter's Kobras, a name spelled out in nailheads on six well-known black plastic windbreakers. と学校がギャングのグループに支配されている状況下でギャングに一目置かれた女の子の話が書かれています。補助教材は、Academic English Vocabularyを身につける事が目的で、Excellent athletes are dedicated to their sport. They show that they are devoted to their sport by practicing on a regular schedule. Sometimes athletes participate in workouts that are very long or very difficult. These intense workouts help athletes improve their skills. と短い文章の読解を繰り返し、語彙を強化します。 |

| メインの教材は、Humanities/Social Studies/Science/Mathematics の教科書です。例えば、Life Science and Physical Scienceのセクションでは、There are many braches of science that you may study. Basically, though, all of these fall into two major areas—life science and physical science. Life science is the study of life and living things. This is the organic world. This is where each living thing carries out life processes. (Life processes are things like growing and reproducing.)とlife scienceとphysical scienceについて学びます。補助教材は、Science/Math/Social Studiesで必要な語彙を学ぶ為の教材です。Key Players Encyclopediaのセクションでは、Mae Carol Jemisonといって世界で初めてアフリカ人女性としてスペースシャトルに搭乗した科学者の話を通し、語彙を向上させます。 |

| メインの教材は、7〜9年生向けの英語の教科書です。Everybody liked the Moose. To his father and mother he was Bryan --- as in Bryan Jefferson Crawford--- but to everyone at Bedford City High he was the Moose. He was large and strong, as you might imagine from his nickname, and he was pretty fast on his feet--- sort of nimble, you might say--- considering his size. | メインの教材は9〜11年生用の英語の教科書です。例えばSolo Flightのセクションでは、少女がグライダーで初めて単独飛行をしたときの思い出が書かれています。It was the end of June. The big Fourth of July weekend was coming up, and it was also going to be my birthday. Mom and Dad had a special present in store for me. They were going to let me take my first solo flight. Although I'd flown our sailplane countless times with Dad in the cockpit, this would be the first time I'd be going up all by myself. この様な短編を通して、海外の高校生が必要とする英語力を養います。補助教材はENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENTです。The Earth, its rocks and mineralsのセクションでは、Solid core/molten core/ mantle/Earth's crustと地球の仕組みについて学習します。 |

| メインの教材は、高校生向けのHumanities/Social Studies/Science/Mathematics の教科書です。Not Quite as It Seemsのセクションでは、アメリカのWilliam Sydney Porterという作家の人物像を考察します。The short story is a literary form that is not successful for all writers. Characters must be developed, a setting established, a story told, and an effective conclusion reached--- all in a few pages. One of the masters of the short story was American writer William Sydney Porter, better known by his pseudonym O. Henry. O. Henry turned out hundreds of stories in the period from about 1895 until his death in 1920. Set in the city or in the country, dealing with people both young and old, the stories have one thing in common: nothing in them is exactly as it seems. What gave most of O. Henry's stories their surprising twists was situational irony. This technique involves something happening that is the opposite of what is expected. 彼の特徴であるsituational ironyという表現方法を通し、人物像を探ります。補助教材は、The People's Republic of China(PRC) is an economic success story. Since reforms began in 1978, its annual GDP has grown at an average rate of 9.4 percent, making it one of the fastest developing economies in the world. 等、世界の時事を話し合います。 |

They were so together in friendship that they felt themselves to be brothers. They had known each other since childhood on the lower east side of manhattan. They grew up in the same apartment building on Fifth Street between Avenue A and Avenue B. Antonio was fair, lean, and lanky, while Felix was dark, short and husky. Antonio's hair was always falling over his eyes, while Felix wore his black hair in a natural Afro style. | メイン教材は、Timed Reading Plus in Social Studies Book10 という12年生の社会の教科書です。
例えばCollecting Oral Historyのセクションでは、
All of the foregoing resources recommend that researchers be prepared. Interviewers should develop a list of
questions and send a copy of the list to the subject of the interview well in advance. A good questionnaire
will begin with the basics of biography. Simple questions will allow the person being interviewed to focus
on one idea at a time. とここでは、言葉で言い伝えられる歴史を取材する時に、どの様なpreparationや心構えが必要かを学びます。
補助教材のTopics for Today5は、academic levelのdiscussion用教材です。例えばSales of Kidneys Prompt New Laws and Debateのセクションでは、
A ghoulish notion: people so poor that they sell some of their body parts to survive. But for scores of brokers who buy and
sell human organs in Asia, Latin America and Europe, that theme from a late-night horror movie is merely a matter of supply and demand.
